May the Lord give you grace, peace and health in the Holy Spirit. It is 22nd August 2022. We celebrate the memorial of Queenship of the BVM, Monday. Wishing you all a happy feast of our mother. May She intercede for us all to live in peace and to the instruments of peace wherever we are.
We reflect on Isaiah 9:1-6 and Luke 1:26-38. At least one thing we can imbibe from Mary, Queen of Heaven, and earth. Having celebrated the Assumption of Mary, now after eight days, we celebrate the feast of the feast day of Queenship of Mary.
“To serve the Queen of Heaven is already to reign there and to live under her commands, is more than to govern,” says St. John Marie Vianney.
The celebration of Mary invites us all to believe that we have an ever inspiring-human model to emulate for the rest of our life. She remains a model to us to reach Heaven. As God so pleased to honour and trust Mary, a human-like us with the Queenship for her faith and love for Her Only Son Jesus.
“Fame is a vapour, popularity an accident, riches take wings and only character endures,” enumerates Horace Greely. The Character of Mother Mary is given not just to be admired and remain singing Her praises. It is for us all to be like Her in Her service, spreading the fragrance of faith, and hope and promoting peace wherever we are as She did.
“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” (Lk.1:38).
Yes, She is the prototype for us all to become like Her. May Mother Mary intercede for us all. Mary, Queen of Heaven, and earth pray for us all.
