No one can replace God’s plan and prosperity in our life

May the Lord continue to bless with peace and grace in the Holy Spirit.

It is 17th June 2022. We reflect on 2 Kings 11:1-4, 9-18, 20 and Matthew 6:19-23.

No one can replace God’s plan and prosperity in our life. God never goes back in God’s promises given to humanity. To secure it, our inner perception needs to be examined and cleaned constantly.

Athaliah, a murderous woman wanted to change the course by killing all the male children of the Davidic line. Yet, God saved one child. “But Jehosheba, King Joram’s daughter and Ahaziah’s sister, took Ahaziah’s son Joash, and stole him away from among the king’s children who were about to be killed.”

God goes out with all God’s might and power to protect us no matter who wants to get rid of us or our families.

The Gospel right teaches us today, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Mt.6:21). As long as God is our treasure, so our hearts will go after none other than God. The entrance to our mind, spirit and soul depends on what we perceive and see. If our eyes love evil, our hearts and deeds are going to breed the same.

Pride is the parasite that grows in wealthy hearts. No treasure we have acquired here on earth can be transferred to the place we go after our death. “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (Mt.6:20).

May the relationships measure our life we treasure with one another in love, respect, and acceptance. May God bless you.
