It is 29th January 2015. The Readings are from Heb. 10:19-25 and the Gospel from Mk. 4:21-25. The first reading expresses that Jesus is the entrance or a new way to the sanctuary of God. We need to pass through the mystical body of Jesus to know and love God. We are invited today to be honest and filled with faith free from compromising conscience. Our entrance to the sanctuary must be oriented towards the spiritual welfare of others as that of ours in doing good with charity in mind. This encounter with God must be communitarian. There is a need for encouraging one another in the attendance of such meetings. Since the time is short, we cannot afford to be excused from such meetings with the Lord. The Responsorial Psalm recounts, “Such are the people who seek your face, O Lord.” (Ps. 23:6). The Gospel illustrates that we are the lampstands leading others to light through the faith we have in Jesus. We become the messenger in carrying that light we got from the Word of God. Jesus is the Truth whom we have encountered in the Word of God. We have the privilege to share the Truth with the others. Does your light show others to find God and how to commit and consecrate their lives for the Lord? “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you and even more.” (Mk. 4:24). It is not how much we have matters but what do we do with what we have does matter. We have entered the Sanctuary of God through Jesus, let us avail ourselves to others so that they may also experience what we are experiencing in Jesus. May you have blessed day.
