It is 30th January 2015. The Readings are fromHeb.10:32-39 and the Gospel from Mk.4:26-34. The first reading invites us to hold on to God till the end. Hold on to the faith you have in Jesus. We are not alone when we suffer and go through various kinds of pain. Jesus is with us. We are guaranteed that all our pain will be put to rest by Jesus through our patient endurance (Rom. 5:3-5). We must not run away when going become tough in our spiritual life. Never quit God during the time of sufferings and pain. “My soul takes no pleasure in anyone who shrinks back.” (Heb. 10;39). Let us persevere in our spiritual connections with the Lord. When we are loyal to God, God looks after us. The Responsorial Psalm acclaims, “The salvation of the just come from the Lord.” (Ps 37:39a). We are invited to “Trust in the Lord… Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you your heart’s requests.” (Ps 37:4). In the Gospel we read that God brings the harvest at the end however small is our effort. Our little efforts in planting the good is needed for God to bring blessings of harvest in our lives. The growth is inevitable and automatic. What is needed is our cooperation with God to enjoy the new life in and around us. We can do many things in keeping our spiritual life intact, but what is required is our unshakable patience and hope in our cooperation with God. We cannot force any growth in our spiritual matters. There is no shortcut to a bumper harvest in a spiritual life. Our committed faith is the required manure to witness the harvest God brings it in our lives. How far do we cooperate with God? May God bless you and have blessed day?
