Good morning Good People,
We read and reflect from Acts 11:19-26 and Gospel John 10:22-30.
The scattered and shattered people became the sharers and spokespersons of the Gospel.
When we go by the Spirit of God and collaborate with the plans of God, we create a path for the other to reach God as we ourselves enjoy walking.
Ministry of preaching the Word of God began with Jews but it was taken beyond them to everyone by a few but filled with the Holy Spirit. Spreading Good News is God’s work yet God needs us as God used Barnabas and Saul in a way that the quality of faith permeated the lives of the disciples and so they were called Christians. “It was in Antioch that the disciples were first called “Christians.” (Act.11:26). Can people recognise us today as the followers of Christ? To believe in the Risen Christ to live like Him in loving, forgiving, and giving. “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Mt.5:16).
The responsorial Psalm acclaims, “All you nations, praise the Lord.” (Ps.117:1).
In constantly listening to the voice the Shepherd, we begin to experience the love of God through Jesus in walking and talking with the others. No one can snatch us away from God as long as we have faith in Jesus. “What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.” (Jn.10:30). We need to work on our personal struggles with sins that obstruct, deafen our ears from hearing the voice of the Saviour.
