Good morning good people may the Lord grant you grace and peace in the Holy Spirit.
It is 29th March 2022.
We reflect on Ezekiel 47:1-9, 12 and John 5:1-3, 5-16.
Water symbolises the Holy Spirit and the temple represents the presence of God. Water is a symbol of God’s saving grace in our life. Living in the spirit of God starts like a rivet as we continue to be immersed in living in the Spirit, we too experience the total conversion of heart and life that nourishes the lives of others by our love, kindness, mercy, and compassion.
The water of life that flows from the temple of God never runs dry. God is not in short of resources to revive our spirit no matter how toxic, polluted, sinful, dry, and deserted our life could have become. God can water our life with the water of life that God alone can irrigate.
There is hope, love and life when we experience the presence of God through Jesus.
Lent is the time of preparation for those catechumens who are going to be cleansed by the waters of Baptism.
Jesus heals a person who was ill for thirty-eight years. Jesus tells us the same, “Pick up your mat and walk.” By carrying and walking our shame and false shelter, we get free. However, prolonged the sickness and sins in our life, Jesus wishes to heal us. Jesus reminded the man whom He healed, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”
The Eucharist is the source of living and healing. Unless and until we stop sinning, we might continue to feel the effects of the Sacraments in our life. May we not take mercy and love for granted and ignore the offer of healing from Jesus. God bless you.
