God grants our prayers and petitions when it is asked in faith

It is 28th March 2022.

We reflect on Isaiah 65:17-21 and John 4:43-54.

God is not running short of creative energy.  God creates new in us and around us every moment.  Without the help of the Holy Spirit, we will not be able to perceive what God does with us and the world around us.

“For I am about to create Jerusalem as a joy, and its people as a delight.” (Is.65:17) God expects us to rejoice with God for all that God creates new.  As people returned from the exile in Babylon, God invited them to participate in its renewal.  As long as we draw life and love from God, there will be creative energy flow with reassurance.

Believing in Jesus even when all the options seem to have been closed.  The centurion solely believed the word of Jesus: “Go; your son will live.”  God grants our prayers and petitions when it is asked in faith and asked for the welfare of others primarily.  It does not mean that God would not give for us when we ask for ourselves.  Prayer is attentively listened to by God whenever it is raised in the faith.  The promise of new and joyful life by God in the first reading is fulfilled by Jesus.

Lent offers a moment to deepen our faith in Jesus.  Our faith needs supplements to sustain the odd and awkward situations of life.  Humility, trust, and perseverance are the boosters for our faith.  Faith always regenerates the faithful people it is genuine, generous, and gentle.

There is no need to panic even when our life looks like ended when we are willing to welcome the Lord in our life and warm up our faith by trusting in His life-giving Words.  May you have a day of blessing by trusting in His Word.  May God bless you.
