The more we find fault with others, the less we resemble Christ

May the Lord bless you with grace, peace, and health in the Holy Spirit. It is on 08th

May the Lord bless you with grace, peace, and health in the Holy Spirit.

It is on 08th September 2022.  We celebrate the memorial of Saint Peter Claver.  We reflect on 1 Corinthians 9:16-19, 22-27 and Luke 6:39-42.

Are we so intolerant of others and so tolerant of ourselves in dealing with sins?

St. Paul motivates us all through his personal reflection on the mission entrusted to him.  For him, authentic leadership shines out in serving others.  It is by constantly dealing with our self-centred motives, we become free and liberated to see the goodness and greatness in others.

The Good News cannot be proclaimed at the expense of charity.  By forcing the Good News, we might lose many than gain.  Announcing Christ to the world is not an option but a duty and responsibility.  All Privileges come with responsibility.

The more we find fault with others, the less we resemble Christ.  In mutual respect, recognition, and appreciation, we mirror the Lord.  Lack of sight could deprive the insight.  Being aware of our blindness helps us to see the brokenness in others in a better way.  “First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbour’s eye.”

Since God sees everything in us through and through, God delays passing judgements on us.

Let us form ourselves before we are intent on reforming the world.  May God bless you.
