Our life and word need to inspire others to come closer to knowing, loving and believing in Jesus

May the Lord give you peace and health in the Holy Spirit.

It is 15th May 2021.

We reflect from Acts 18:23-28 and the Gospel of John 16:23-28.

Formalities and formalized interactions in communities keep the communications cold and distant.  The communities thrive and spread their roots where spontaneous and generous initiatives are done for the welfare of the other and for the whole.

Apollos, an Alexandrian Jew took the initiatives in spreading the Truth, the Way, and the Life experienced by him to the community even before the apostles could reach and preach to the community.

Constantly leaning on the Holy Spirit and listening attentively to the whispers of the Spirit of God through our personal prayers reminds and reinforce our responsibilities of sharing the Good News that Jesus is Messiah to the other.

Our life and word need to inspire others to come closer to knowing, loving and believing in Jesus.

A married couple, Priscilla and Aquila, contributed their share in helping and supporting the community.  Lay person’s contribution towards the believing community is so much in want in every place.  How much your family contributes towards the growth, development, and maturity of the faith.  God has filled us with gifts of the Holy Spirit to put them in use for the welfare of the community not just for our personal edification and holiness only.

Jesus reminds us about our personal initiatives as He returns to the Father. “I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.” (Jn.16:28).  Our dialogues with others depend on our faith in Jesus and our personal encounter with the Risen Lord.  Faith grows in sharing, inspiring and encouraging milieu.

May the Risen Lord help us to work for the community we belong to by our contributions of faith and charity.  Have a peaceful day.  God bless you.
