Good morning good people may the Lord bless you with good health and peace of mind in the Holy Spirit.

It is 31st January 2022.  We celebrate the memorial of St. John Bosco, priest.

We reflect on 2 Sam 15:13-14, 30; 16:5-13 and Mark 5:1-20.

Neither praises liberate nor curses curb human freedom.

Patience persists and submits to God during the pandemic of weaknesses exposed unfairly with the intention of exploiting the goodness of the person.

“It may be that the Lord will look on my distress and the Lord will repay me with good for this cursing of me today.” (2 Sam.16:12).  Some say that ‘those who eat salt must drink water,” meaning for those who go after pleasures are sought after by pain.  In the absence of sinfulness, hopelessness cannot overpower us.  David knew what he had done, and his sins were chasing after him even through his own son.  Adding fuel to the burning pain in the heart of King David, the well-wishers of Saul cursed him and wished him to be humbled by his own son.

We manifest our personalities unconsciously when we are viciously attacked on our hidden and vulnerable sides of life.

Jesus showed extraordinary gentleness towards the man with unclean spirits.  He reclaimed his dignity back to him.  “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you and what mercy he has shown you.” (Mk.5:19).

God has done many good things in our life and so let us continue announcing the Good News that God loves us even if the evil or evil people hate us.  God bless you.
