May the Lord give you grace, peace and health in the Holy Spirit. It is 15th November 2022. We celebrate the memorial of St. Albert the Great, the Patron of scientists.
We reflect on Revelation 3:1-6, 14-22 and Luke 19:1-10.
Can Jesus have a place in our heart and home today? Jesus wants to have a word with us in our home and heart today. It is not for our destruction but for our good. When we are too busy and engaged in something or with someone, hardly do we hear the voice of the Lord. Having a cold, tepid indifferent attitude never allows us to hear cry of the poor and those in need at the door knocking.
“I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come into you and eat with you, and you with me.” (Rev.3:20).
Our contentment and happiness never lie in busy round the clock but in lending the ear and hand to someone at the door standing and knocking.
“Zacchaeus, hurry and come down; for I must stay at your house today.” (Lk.19:5). However rich and wealthy we can be, yet we can all feel a vacuum and emptiness. Jesus alone can fill that space. No one and nothing could fill that space. It is all up to us to allow the Lord in our lives so as experience what Zacchaeus experienced in his life.
We become handsome, when we lend our hands to someone, says a scholar. Our beauty lies in giving what belongs to the other from us. May the Lord grant us courage to let Him in to feel the integral healing. God bless you.
