It is 21st April 2021.  We celebrate the memorial of St. Anselm, Archbishop, and doctor.

The readings are from Acts 8:1-8; and the Gospel from John 6:35-40.

Saint Augustine articulates, “Do you want to speak the praise of God?  Be yourselves what you speak. If you live good lives, you are his praise.”

Good thrives in sacrifices made by human hearts for spreading fragrance of God.  Good never dies with one person.  It spreads and roots in the hearts of humanity far and wide.  The evil and evil people can never be able to defeat good and good people.  Good vibes resonate in the lives of honest people.

After the murder of St. Stephen, the early Church was persecuted by Paul and that forced the Christians to scatter every nook and corner.  St. Philip showed an exemplary way of life in his life and preaching.  As they moved on, so the Good News spread wherever they lived.

Moving on is essential for moving forward in our life.  Unfair ill treatments can happen to us by persons whom we loved and trusted yet in all these we can emerge when we move out. Life is bumpy and shaky at times but our consistent trust in the Lord strengthens our fabrics of our heart to withstand all that we are go through.

The responsorial Psalm praises, “Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.” (Ps. 66:1).

Jesus continues to explain the will of God as He presents Himself as the Bread of life.  “This is the will of God who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that God has given me but raise it up on the last day.” (Jn.6:39).  There is no way we will lose sight of God by believing in Jesus.  Our faithfulness to God can be proved by our faith in Jesus that is demonstrated in the acts of love and charity shown beyond the borders of our faith interactions.  May the Lord help us to spread the aroma of God to all.  Have a lovely day.
