God loves us personally, individually, and uniquely

May the Lord bless you with peace and health in the Holy Spirit. It is 07th August 2021.

May the Lord bless you with peace and health in the Holy Spirit.

It is 07th August 2021. It is the first Saturday of the month dedicated to our Beloved Mother Mary.

We reflect on Deuteronomy 6:4-13 and the Gospel of Matthew 17:14-20.

We celebrate the memorial of St. Sixtus II, Pope and martyr.

God loves us personally, individually, and uniquely.

But do we love God knowingly, lovingly, and consistently?

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.” (Deut.6:5)

When faith becomes stagnant and a conscious and willful forgetfulness of benevolence of God put aside God in all we do and have. Moses encouraged people to love God with mind, spirit, and body that we are feeling, acting, and deciding in every micro nanosecond of our life in knowing and loving God. Moreover, loving God is not following a set of norms, rules, regulations and going to church and reading a few verses from the Bible to feel the presence of God and begin a journey of awareness of God’s accompaniment in our lives.

Faith is a total commitment to God without expecting any blessings from God.

It is self-betrayal and contradiction to hate our brothers and sisters for any reason under the Sun and claiming to love God dearly.

Forgetting the person and presence of the other suggests that we have no time for God too.

Jesus rebukes his disciple for their inability to heal the epileptic person. It is by constant communication with Jesus, we can establish a vibrant and valuable connection with God in faith. Forgetting what God has done in our life mutilates our little faith. It is time in our life to recall and reclaim the blessings so far received from the Lord so that we can share the glories of God with one another.

On no occasion, we can lean on faith and leaving love and vice versa. By integrating faith and love we become committed to the Lord and sensitive to the needy.

It is not merely the size of faith but the intensity in believing God can do wonders in our lives and others. May we strive to integrate love and faith in our life. May God bless you.
