It is 25th May 2024.  We reflect on James 5:13-20 and Mark 10:13-16.

Do we lead others in prayer?

The first reading offers the directions to lead us in prayer and initiatives that lead others to God and God’s church.

The importance of prayer always more specially during the time of sickness when the human is mostly in need of God’s favourable touch and healing.

It is our responsibility to lead people back to God and the Church through the help of the Sacraments.

God and the Church are eagerly waiting to embrace and to heal us those who need God’s blessings.

In the Gospel, Jesus invites us to have the trust of a child which is so receptive without prejudice.  The most recent studies prove that people belong to a social group are the happiest and contented people.

Belonging means much more than a membership and it is the interactions and the commitment for the welfare of the group and its humanity.

Self-reliance and self-determination are the most attracted themes of the society than to have a quality of a child-like dependence on God and others.

We cannot live as an island for a long time.

Building up oneself selfishly leads to depression and serious integral consequences in human lives.

We are all unfinished until we express and experience the presence of the others in our lives.

We need to inculcate the tenderness in forgiving, blindness in depending, forgetfulness in hurts, unlimited embraces in desperation are the required qualities for the kingdom of God.

“Anyone who does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” (Mk.10:15).

May you have a good day.
