Good morning good people,

May the Lord bless you with peace and health in the Holy Spirit.

It is 28th May 2021.

We reflect from Ecclesiasticus 44:1, 9-13 and the Gospel Mark 11:11-26.

We cannot forget some people who have lived for and done good to the humanity all through their lives.  Forgetting our ancestors is forgetting the roots of humanity.  God-fearing and lovers of humanity cannot be buried in our memories.  They need to be remembered, emulated, and enshrined in our daily living.  We cannot just exist and exit the world.  We have a responsibility to pass on the goodness of those who have gone before.  Fruitfulness of our ancestors and those who have gone before us are to be the inspirational and motivational fabrics our cognition and reason and daily living.

“But these also were godly men and women whose righteous deeds have not been forgotten.” (Eccl.44:10).

Gratitude to those who have gone before us is essential for a fruitful living.

“Believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you.” (Mk.11:24).  We all want our prayers to be heard but we find it hard to forgive.  To obtain anything from God, our attitude in forgiving the other is the requirement. Let us just check our hearts today and see who the people are we need to forgive in order to enjoy the benefits our prayers.  Our belief in God alone cannot bring blessing but our attitude and the way we handle the other person does make God consider our petitions and prayers.

Jesus is coming into our lives looking for the fruits from our life.  The story of cursing the fig tree and the cleaning of the temple have one thing in common that Jesus will not remain passive when He is disappointed with the way we live and behave.   Are our lives revolve around prayer and providence of God?  Have a grateful day.  May God bless you.
