It is 19th November 2020.

The readings are from Revelation 5:1-10; and the Gospel from Luke 19:41-44.

Christ holds the key to our life. Christ is the New Passover lamb.

Every human heart longs and desires for the vision and visitation of the Lord.

May be unconsciously, we do things that keep God out of our lives and not making ready to welcome the Lamb of God in our lives.

St. John confesses that Jesus is the Lamb of God who is worthy of opening the scrolls of promises and blessing.

“You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slaughtered and by your blood you ransomed for God saints from every tribe and language and people and nation; you have made them to be a kingdom and priests serving our God, and they will reign on earth.” (Rev.5:9). Since we are all redeemed by Him, we need to live for Him with grateful hearts.

By his sacrifice, we are saved. “Look— the Lamb of God, the One taking-away the sin of the world.” (Jn.1:9). Forgetting what the Lord has done for us and for the humanity is refusing to believe in Him. Christ purchased us with His precious blood.

The responsorial Psalm praises, “The lamb has made us a kingdom of priests to serve our God.” (Rev.1:6).

God has entrusted us with so much and so God alone has the right to ask for fruits. God is not looking for material help from us rather to witness peace, prosperity, and progress in our life. Time and time again God visit through God’s only Son Jesus to look for peace in our lives. At times, we rebel against God and destroy peace in our families and ecclesial communities. Jesus wept seeing the ungrateful resistance and rejection from people of Jerusalem. “Because you did not recognise the time of your visitation from God.” (Lk.19:44). Seeing our life today, what would Jesus feel? Would He weep or rejoice? Have a lovely day. God bless you.
