Wishes of Eid Mubarak. May the Almighty continue to bless us all with prosperity, peace, security, and respect for humanity. May the Lord bless you with peace and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 13th May 2021.
We reflect from Acts 18:1-8 and the Gospel from John 16:16-20.
A little boy came running to his grandfather saying that it was so unfair for his friend to cheat him in the game they played. His friend stopped searching for him in the game of hide-and-seek. Grandpa, do you understand? I hid so well, and he ended up not looking for me. Then the grandfather replied him saying that it is so unfair that we have stopped searching for our wonderful friend Jesus in our life.
We celebrate the memorial of Our Lady of Fatima. Our Lady appeared to three poor children namely Lucy, Francisco, and Jacinta at Fatima in Portugal for six times inviting them to pray rosary for the world peace.
Jesus says, “I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will have pain, but your pain will turn into joy.” (Jn.16:
Everything is for a little while. Yes, happiness, joy, suffering, pain, loss, and celebration are all for a little while.
Jesus prepared His disciple as He was about to ascend to the Father. He was with us for a little while. He will come back after a little while.
The period between Ascension and the second coming is the little while. The resurrection of Jesus brings us joy. “Then the Lord God will wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Is.25:8).
“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.” Anonymous quote.

One single word, a gesture, a move, a deed can change the world of pain in the life of the other.
Having rejected, abused and turned down by the elites of Athens, Paul moves on to evangelise the Jews in Corinth and again faced with opposition and refusal to listen to him, so he preaches the Word of God to the non-Jews.
There is always something new around us. Let us not get fixated with what went wrong always but rather with whatever works for us. Life is so new every moment with God. “See, I am making all things new” (Revelation 21:5). It is time to reinforce our believe in the risen Lord to continue experience the joy of the Lord. Whatever we go through at this moment in our life especially the moments of pain will turn to Joy with the Risen Lord.
