It is 21st October 2020.
The readings are from Ephesians 3:2-12 and the Gospel from Luke 12:39-48.
When we are in love, we excel in everything we do.
We are endowed with gifts and talents enough to be fruitful in every sphere in our life. God has given us grace and blessings to share the Good News of salvation to all by our charitable behavior and actions. In and through Christ Jesus, we are privileged to approach God at all times to be the person God wants us to be.
There is no need to prove anyone how good we are except to God and ourselves.
To bear fruitful means to be truthful to ourselves and to be spontaneously sincere without any fear or pressure. None of us can bring out anything best out of fear. We are all parts of the same mystical body of Christ and therefore there is no need to compete but complement each other for the common good.
As Paul puts it, however low in rank we could be yet we all have a contribution to making in comprehending the mysteries of Christ.
The responsorial Psalm praises, “With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” (Ps.12:3)
The Gospel reminds us that we all owe tremendously to God and the community because we have been entrusted enormously with. It is a responsibility that we have and hold demands the utmost generosity in giving the best of ourselves. God will not be satisfied with something less the best. No one can complain to God that they have not received anything.
“From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.” (Lk.12:48).
It is not enough being Catholic proudly, but we need to be responsible citizens of God’s household. Let us be prepared to face the unprepared moment of facing God in our life whether in living or dying. Have a lovely day. God bless you.
