It is 27th October 2015. The readings are from Rom.8:18-25 and the Gospel from Lk.13:18-21. The first reading invites us to long for our original glory and purpose we lost through the sins. “For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God.” (Rom.8:19). We are saved by God’s grace through our faith in God’s beloved Son Jesus Christ. The total glory in our salvation is yet to be revealed. We all have to hope in patience to experience through our life in the Spirit. This longing, this expectation, this promise, this confidence is cemented by the life we live in the Spirit. The responsorial Psalm praises, “What marvels the Lord worked for us.” (Ps.125:3). The Gospel brings out the message about the unstoppable power of the kingdom of God. The Church, the instrument of charity in the world spreading the power of love and sacrifice of Jesus through the suffering and sacrifices of its own members. It is a spark, which can set ablaze the entire community of believers. It is the power works from within. Not only converting inside and impacting the outside so powerfully. We are the seeds and the yeast of our society. The message of Christ which we received through our faith has the potency to change us and to ferment the entire community through our commitment and faithfulness to the values of the Gospel. Change is the key for its presence. May the Lord grant you peace to believe and to promote the values of the Kingdom of God.
