Good morning good people,
May the Baby Jesus bless you with His peace and joy. It is 29th December 2023. We reflect on 1 John 2:3-11 and Luke 2:22-39.
What will happen to us without inner light? Do we have the light of Christ?
Christmas is all about the light of Christ. Simeon got the light when he met the Baby Jesus in the temple. St. Stephen, St. John, and the Holy Innocents all experienced the light of Christ.
What about us? Are we confident to make the world around us to feel the light of Christ through our belief and practice.
Unless we have genuine love for the other person, we cannot radiate the light of Christ.
“Whoever hates his brother/sister is in darkness; he/she walks in darkness and does not know where he/she is going because the darkness has blinded his/her eyes.” (1 Jn.2:11).
Joy of Christmas is in the light of Christ.
Christ alone can fill us with such light of God that propels us to love and serve the other persons. Whenever we find it hard to love and at the service of the other person, we truly lack the light of Christ.
May the Lord help us whisper the prayer of Simeon: “ “Lord, now let your servant go in peace, for your word has been fulfilled: my own eyes have seen the salvation which you prepared in the sight of all people, a light to reveal you to the nations and the glory of your people Israel.” (Lk.2:28).
May God bless you abundantly to radiate what we got during our Baptism.
