Dear People of God,
It is 31st day of December 2014. The final day of the year. The first reading rightly points out that it is the last hour to confront the lies in and around us against the Truth, Jesus. It is also time of taking an inventory in our spiritual life of the year. Which side did we stand? On the side of Truth, Jesus or the Lie, the Satan. It is also a time to sing a new song to the Lord as the Responsorial Psalm highlights it. When our life is based on Truth, there is a light in and around us. We begin to testify the Light because there is Truth (Jesus) resides in us. “What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race.” (Jn. 1:4). The Gospel brings out this personal witness to the Light by St. John. Jesus is “the real Light which gives light to every person.” (Jn. 1:9). As we stand on the last day this year 2014, let us thank the Lord for the Light and Truth which guided us up until today. As a believer, we need to become a witness to the Truth and the Light in our simple way. Let us allow the Light of Christ to shine more brightly on the sides which requires the attention of Jesus. For those moments of lies and pretentions, let us allow the Truth to penetrate them and purify them. May you have blessed day. God bless you.
