Dear People of God,
It is 1st of January 2015. We are celebrating the Solemnity of Mary Mother of God. The church begins with Mother Mary on the very first day of a new year. A brand new year of blessings during this year of Consecrated Life. The first reading is a blessing that the Lord gives us today to start the New Year, promising us,“The Lord bless you and keep you: The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you: The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:23-27). In the Responsorial Psalm, once again we are assured of blessings of God. In the Gospel, we hear the visit of the shepherds to the New Born Infant. The invocation and presence of Jesus in our lives is indeed a blessing. As the shepherds visited the little boy Jesus and obtained their blessings, we are expected to know Him, love him and follow Him on a daily basis in order to be blessed. All the blessings and goodness come from God and through his beloved son Jesus Christ. May you be blessed all throughout the year 2015. Let us create a new bridge of communication with God and people right from the start. Let us revitalize the link between God and us so as to renew, renovate, and restructure our human relationships which is significantly vital. Wishing you a Happy and Peaceful New Year 2015.
