Let us believe in Triune God who is merciful and gracious.
It is 11th June 2017. We celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity today. The readings are from Ex.34: 4-6, 8-9; the second reading is from 2 Cor.13:11-13 and the Gospel from Jn. 3:16-18. The Catechism teaches us, “The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of Christian faith ad life. The one true God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, reveals himself to people and reconciles and unites with himself those who turn away from sin.” (CCC.234). it is indeed the basic and corner stone of our faith. All the Sacraments and the liturgy revolves around the blessed by triune God in three persons. Even though it is the most difficult to comprehend yet with the gift of faith we can believe and accept it. As long as we begin and end our chores and liturgy in these three person we are so blessed and protected through the divine triangle. Let our life be within the triangle of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. In the first reading, we witness the encounter between Moses and God. Moses invited God to accompany with him in the most difficult journey of leading and guiding ‘a stiff-necked people.’ Moses said, “If I find favour with you, O Lord, do come along in our company.” (Ex.34:8). The responsorial Psalm sings, “Glory and praise forever.” (Daniel. 3:52). St. Paul admonishes all who believe in the Trinitarian God to ‘rejoice, to mend our ways, to encourage one another, agree with one another and to live in peace.” (2 Cor.13:11). The conclusion is deeply Trinitarian. This is being used in our Eucharistic celebrations regularly. “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.” (2 Cor.13:13). The Gospel reiterates that we will not able to enjoy the eternal way without having our faith in Triune God. God wants to reconcile and to unify us using the paradigm of the Most Holy Trinity. The God’s inner life is the source and model for our living with one another. The relationship that exists in triune Godhead needs to be seen and witnessed by those who find it hard to believe in the Holy Trinity. As God wants to reach us using this model of unity and oneness, let us begin loving one another, forgiving and accepting one another by being the channels of creative love in our life. Let us be different and creative yet be one. May you have a good day. May the Holy Trinity bless you.
