Good morning good people,
May the Lord bless you with peace and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 10th May 2021.
We reflect today from Acts 16:11-15; and the Gospel from John 15:26-16:4.
From today, the readings prepare us spiritually to celebrate the Ascension of the Lord and Pentecost. To pray we need a place and people. St. Paul prays and preaches at the riverbank. Christian life is an empty call without experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit in our life. The Spirit of God leads us and provides us all we need in our life. A life without the guidance of the Holy Spirit brings no joy, peace, and love.
St. Paul continues his second missionary journey and shares the Word of God in Philippi. People were hungry to listen, learn and lead. “The Lord opened her heart to listen eagerly to what was said by Paul.” (Acts.16:14). There is no need to force anyone to believe in the Good News. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to make the listeners to be docile to will of God. It is our spiritual responsibility to inspire the other in word and deed.
Jesus promises the Spirit of God who accompanies, recommends, defends our cause to God. The Holy Spirit knows and comprehends the plan of God.
“Jesus said to his disciples, “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf.” (Jn.15:26). The Holy Spirit is our Helper, Pleader, and Intercessor to the Father.
We are given the Holy Spirit to become the witnesses of truth. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, we cannot be an evangeliser of the Good News. Do we speak the Holy Spirit today? May the God bless you. Have a peaceful day. God bless you.
