Good morning good people,
May the Lord give you peace and blessings in the Holy Spirit. It is 30th July 2025. We reflect on Exodus 34:29-35 and Matthew 13:44-46.
We celebrate the memorial of Saint Peter Chrysologus, Bishop, Doctor, who encourages us,
“Do not weary in your search, for God allows Himself to be found by those who persevere in love, not in strength.”
Can others see God’s light in us?
We are all looking for something in life. A few things we find without much difficulty but most of them are found with sweat and smartness. There is pressure and persistence involved in every search. At times we give up soon and curse the past and the failures that fell upon us. Many are tired and exhausted looking for something that is not lasting. Our contentment and security come by finding something that can outlast everything.
Having met God, Moses’ face started shining with glory. People found it hard to look at him.
He was radiating the intense light of God. So, he had to veil his face.
When we meet God, our faces light up too. Whenever our hearts have truly encountered the Lord, it shows on our face, in our body, in the way we relate with others.
Communion with God brings not just personal holiness, but it marks us—with His presence, with His light, with His holiness.
Unless we ascend the mountain to meet God, we cannot descend to the world carrying His light.
We need that quiet time, that sacred space, that personal moment— where God’s light touches us from within.
Only then can we glow, not with our strength, but with the fire of the One who makes all things holy.
In the Gospel, Jesus invites us to go after the treasure of God. We all can find the pearls in the treasure hunt of the Kingdom. Unless we let go of what we have, we might let lose the chance of possessing the treasure. It is a matter of conviction and commitment that makes us find the treasure of our life, Jesus Himself.
May God bless you.
