May the Lord bless you with peace and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 10th September 2021.
We reflect on 1 Tim 1:1-2, 12-14 and the Gospel of Luke 6:39-42.
Whatever was the past, the Lord can still use us for His glory.
“But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.” (1 Tim.1:14).
St. Paul himself confesses that God’s mercy shown through Jesus flushes all our sins, guilt, and shame. We are cleansed by Him to live a life of purity.
Unless and until we are cleansed, we cannot see the possibility of making things and people beautiful around. More stubborn we are, less concerned we become in making this world a better place.
A constant fault-finding mentality emerges in all of us when we think we have nothing to change in us. Let us, “first take the log out of our own eye, and then we will see clearly to take the speck out of our neighbor’s eye.” (Lk.6:42).
There are innumerable good things in everyone. We need to have an eye that identify the beauty in others. We need to work on our casual and destructive judging mentality and build up constructive appreciation things in others.
Hatred and nepotism will never help individually and communally.
May the Lord help us to recognize the areas we all need to concentrate to grow rather distracting and dissipating by highlighting the brokenness of the others.
May God bless you.
