May the ascended Lord bless you with peace and health.
It is 15th May 2024.
Am I a unifying or a dividing person?
We reflect on Acts 20:28-38 and the Gospel of John 17:11-19.
It is easy to give counsel but to render an example is the crown of life.
St. Paul combines both guidance and example from his personal life as he bid farewell to the people.
The word we utter begins to root in others when it has generated fruits in our life.
Every consecration calls for commitment.
We can truly learn from St. Paul.
Our love for the Lord needs to strengthen the connections with others. In this process of connecting with others, we need to be careful not to be invaded by the ones from within.
There are people within the family, institution, and relationship circle that work against the spirit of unity and solidarity.
Our examples of giving and sharing go wider and deeper to face anything that disturbs the intentions and plans of God.
We are Christians, believers, and followers of Jesus not to save our skin and soul but to lead and lift the life of others.
As Jesus prepares the minds of the disciples to face the inevitable, He prays for us all to be united but to be vigilant against worldliness. We too are sent to sanctify the world.
How can we sanctify when our life is dominated by lies, fake news and all that opposed to truth?
“For their sakes, I sanctify myself, so that they also may be sanctified in truth.” (Jn.17:19).
Let us live in our lives in the Spirit. Have a peaceful day.
God bless you.
