May the Lord give you peace and blessings in the Holy Spirit.
It is 20th November 2021.
We reflect on 1 Maccabees 6:1-13 and the Gospel of Luke 20:27-40.
To sustain our relationship with God, we need to support and strengthen our relationship with one another.
Marriage, family, and its relationship do not have power spread its wings and roots beyond this world. But without that we may not even be admitted to the abode of God. The way we relate with one another is so important. Some relationships are savoured, scented, and sanctifying our beings but most of them drain, destroy, and dictate the way we need to live and behave. Any relationship that does not empower and ennoble the other person to reach the ultimate goodness and freedom, it is self-destructive, selfish,
Wherever self-love is glorified, love for God and humanity are compromised and horrified.
Without relationship, we cannot comprehend the meaning of resurrection. At times, we ponder so deep that whether would we be able to continue the relationships after our death. Yes, but in a different way to higher connections. It all depends upon the way we relate with one another here on earth.
Our resurrection is guaranteed in the Risen Christ. Even though our filial relationship come to an end here on earth, whether in a marriage or in loving relationship, yet the relationship with God continues to the end. beyond the grave, there are brave hearts long to connect permanently with the source and summit of our being. “Now he is God not of the dead, but of the living; for to him all of them are alive.” (Lk.20:40).
It is worth taking a moment to reflect about life after our death. May God bless you.
