May the Risen Lord give you peace.
It is on 12th April 2024.
We reflect on Acts 5:34-42 and John 6:1-15.
Have we shared enough?
If you have not shared enough, you have not lived enough.
We are here to multiply everything that is entrusted to put in good use for God’s people.
There is no miracle of multiplication without sincere sharing.
“If this plan or this undertaking is of human origin, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them.” (Acts. 5:38).
Sharing what we have is not for our personal glory and name but for God who entrusted us with those things trusting that we would share them with those in need.
We all are time and time again inspired to share. That is not enough. Sharing needs to be like breathing.
Life full of sharing is like a person full of blessings.
The responsorial Psalm intercedes, “One thing I seek: to dwell in the house of the Lord.” (Ps. 27:4)
No one can stop doing good when it is done with good intention and without personal gain, agenda, propaganda.
As our sharing brings someone closer to the Giver of all gifts, so we come closer to the humanity that is going hungry in our own country, community, and courtyard.
The risen Lord invites us to share and expose our poverty.
“Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also, the fish, as much as they wanted. When they were satisfied.”
It is our turn to take the loaves and give thanks to God to share with those hungry, homeless, and needy people.
May the Lord bless each one of you to open your hearts towards the other to participate in the God’s economy of sharing.
Have a lovely day.
