Good morning, Good People,

May the Lord give you peace, health, and happiness in the Holy Spirit.  It is 06th August 2025.

We celebrate the feast of Transfiguration of the Lord.  We reflect on Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14; 2 Peter 1:16-19; and Luke 9:28-36.

Where Do We Need Transfiguration in Our Lives?

Pope Francis pointed out: “The Transfiguration reminds us that the joys sown by God in life are not moments of illusion but signs of hope… Jesus’ light is like a flash of lightning, a glimpse of heaven on earth.”

Along with His Baptism, Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension, the Transfiguration stands as one of the most significant moments in the life of Jesus.  It reveals both His divine identity and His mission on earth.  The assuring voice of the Heavenly Father declares Jesus’ divine Sonship and His authority to lead all people to God:

“This is my Son, the Beloved.  Listen to Him.”

This event is nothing less than a divine signature—a glorious moment where divinity shines through humanity, creating a radiant bridge between God and mankind.

The feast calls us not to be mere listeners, but to become transformed and obedient children of God.  In each of us, there is a sacred space awaiting transfiguration, a space that can reflect God’s healing light to those around us.

Though only three—Peter, James, and John—were privileged to witness this moment of glory, their response is striking.  Amidst countless questions and a heart gripped with fear, they did not argue or flee.  They remained in silent awe, pondering all they had seen.

Moses and Elijah, representing the Law and the Prophets, stood with Jesus, bearing witness to the fulfilment of Scripture.  The Transfiguration is the moment where the Father reveals the Son, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, to those closest to Him.

This divine revelation compels us not merely to admire Jesus from a distance but to listen and learn from Him.  “This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to Him!”

Through this feast, we are invited to deepen our faith in the divinity of Christ, allowing that personal encounter to transform us into witnesses of love, faith, and hope in our world.

May the Transfiguration of our Lord empower us to come down from the mountain of spiritual highs and walk through the plains and meadows of everyday life—transfigured, renewed, and ready to radiate Christ’s light.

May God bless you.
