Good morning, Good People,
May the Lord give you peace and health in the Holy Spirit. It is 26th September 2025. We celebrate the memorial of Saints Cosmas and Damian, Martyrs.
We reflect on Haggai 1:15–2:9 and the Gospel of Luke 9:18–22.
Are we operating alone or cooperating with God?
St. Augustine inspires us, “Do not neglect the temple of God within you; build it with prayer, love, and faith, and you will dwell in His presence forever.”
Have you felt the presence and comfort of God in some special churches? Yes, there are a few places around the world where God’s healing presence is so pervasive that we cannot ignore it. Some people build churches and worship spaces to make their name and fame known. Others contribute remotely and boast about what they have done. A handful of people set apart their resources and a specific space for God in the community, where we all feel safe, sacred, and sanctified.
The power of God shines in places not because of us, but because of God’s love for us and God’s desire to live among us. We all have the resources we need to rebuild the temple that is in ruins. I am not referring to a dilapidated church somewhere, but the temple within each one of us. Only we know the condition of the temple of the Holy Spirit in our own hearts. Whenever we focus entirely on building our dreams, we may neglect the dwelling of God within us.
“And in this place, I will give prosperity, says the Lord.” (Haggai 2:9) God constantly strengthens us with the assurance of being near us in the building and rebuilding of the temple. We need not be disturbed as we participate in this work of restoring the house of the Lord.
In the Gospel, Jesus asks two questions: “Who do others say I am?” and “Who do you say I am?” The first is general and peripheral, while the second is personal, profound, and particular to each of us.
It is by knowing and loving Jesus that we create a special space for God in our lives. Without a personal relationship with Him, we can be blindfolded by the pleasures and promises of the world. Peter’s confession is the faith that has been handed down to us all. Let us deepen our understanding and faith in the identity of Jesus so that we feel the presence of God in every moment of our life.
May God bless you and grant you a peaceful day.
