Dear People of God,
May the Lord give you peace, joy, and health in the Risen Lord. Jesus is truly risen. Alleluia.
It is 17th April 2022.
We reflect on Acts 10:34,37-43; Colossians 3:1-4; and John 20:1-9.
Wishing you one and all a happy Easter.
Absence is the only s presence to hold on to believing at times. There was nothing so spectacular about the resurrection was in display except an empty tomb, used clothes and more room for suspicion than sustenance for faith. But there were witnesses of women and men who felt the resurrection of Jesus in what they believed and eventually they found in His Death. His body was not to be found. No one saw the Risen Lord breaking and coming out of the tomb but all that they found was nothing tangibly but something spiritually.
At times, Silence becomes the only proof when no voice is heard. Emptiness is the only fullness we feel so filled.
Resurrection is not a scriptural invention or prevention of spiritual decay rather it is the fundamental belief with which our faith is
St Augustine beautifully puts it: “There is nothing special in believing that Jesus died; even pagans and the Jews and reprobates believe this; everyone believes it. The great thing is to believe that he rose from the dead. The faith of Christians is the resurrection of Christ.”
God’s glorification of Jesus for all that He did, said and stood for.
Resurrection is the basis and foundation of our faith and strengthens us to hope for things of the world God has prepared for us.
May we allow the Risen Lord to stay with us in our life and continue to live for Him.
