Good morning good people. May the Lord give you peace.
It is 19th January 2026. We reflect on 1 Samuel 15:16-23 and Mark 2:18-22
Are we pragmatic or problematic?
Obedience is not a skill to learn but a virtue formed by humility and self-surrender to God.
True obedience trusts God even when human reasoning disagrees.
It is easy to preach obedience; it is hard to listen, discern, and accept God’s will personally.
Obedience deepens spiritual life and is the most demanding yet rewarding way to please God. Our God speaks through conscience and through those who guide, lead, and form us.
King Saul failed by thinking sacrifice could replace obedience. God rejects sacrifices that arise from pride, injustice, or disobedience. God desires a humble, contrite, and obedient heart, not outward religiosity.
Jesus shows perfect obedience to the Father, lived freely, not grudgingly.
Prayer and rituals are empty if they ignore justice and the cry of the poor. Obedience is the new wine that needs to be filled in our new hearts and lives.
It is my 30th Ordination Day. Kindly requesting your prayerful support for me and the mission I serve.
May the Lord help us obey Him always.
