May the Lord grant you grace and peace in the Holy Spirit.
It is 02nd April 2022.
We reflect on Jeremiah 11:18-20; and John 7:40-52.
It is so hard to say the truth and be nice to people. Either we burn ourselves or others. Some of us cannot be say the truth even if we are hated by many. Most of us find it hard to talk about the reality around out of fear, abuse and losing life.
Jeremiah bemoans after speaking out the corruption and hypocrisy in others more particularly about the leaders and the people of Israel.
Sarcastic attack on a good person never stops and so being good is inevitable and essential for mental, psychological, and spiritual integral health. We hurt ourselves unconsciously more often and ready to address the issues related by pleasing others than being honest without being nasty. Truth does not murder anyone, but it hurts. But by not telling truth we surely murder integrity and incensing lies. When we have truly taken refuge in the Lord, there is no one to fear.
Our personal encounter enriches our relationship with God. Prejudices and prejudged mindset shrink our minds in believing and accepting Christ as He is. Our stubbornness stunts integral growth with the Lord and the world. Just because someone does not accept truth, does not mean truth has no place in the life of people. It is better to have listened to all the sides before we make our minds. One sided, or biased listening limits the possibilities truth to emerge. Let us have facts in place before we pronounce our understanding of a person or an issue. It is not at all necessary to back down when people oppose and refuse truth.
As we are much closer in celebrating the Paschal mystery, we need to continue being witnesses to truth. May God bless you.
