Life is lifeless and meaningless without mercy. Spirituality is spineless and speechless without mercy

May the Lord bless you with peace and health in the Holy Spirit.

It is 14th March 2022.

We reflect on Daniel 9:4-10 and Luke 6:36-38.

Everyone wants to be the best in what they say and do.  Some of us outsmart in what we do or say yet we still feel that we have not reached the peak, the pinnacle, the climax, and the perfection.  It is all because of the absence of mercy amidst merits.  When mercy blinds with life then it reaches its perfection.

Life is lifeless and meaningless without mercy.  Spirituality is spineless and speechless without mercy.  Our thoughts are based without mercy.  Compassionate handling within one’s ability, capability, and capacity of every single detail of distress or cry of the one in need is mercy.  A fearless, and prejudice-free tone and texture in dealing with the vulnerability of the wounded, and the wayward.

The ultimatum of perfection is mercy.

The attitude of judging either disappears or dissolves by the presence of mercy in our minds and mentality.  The courage love embraces the other person as they are.  Hence, without loving, giving, and forgiving we cannot express mercy to others.

Just like the prophet Daniel, we all are eligible for God’s mercy when we surrender our being without questioning.  On behalf of the people of Israel, Daniel begs for pardon from the Lord.  The fall of a nation or a person could be tracked by the absence of mercy.  Without hesitation, God forgives, loves, and showers us with blessings to us who demonstrate compassion to all.  “A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.” (Lk.6:38). The empathy we show to others flows the way we love, share and forgive others.  May God bless you.
