Let us open our hearts to listen to God’s voice through His eternal Word, Jesus.

Good morning, good people! May the Lord give you peace, health, and happiness in the Holy Spirit. Today

Good morning, good people! May the Lord give you peace, health, and happiness in the Holy Spirit. Today is March 27, 2025. We reflect on Jeremiah 7:23-28 and Luke 11:14-23.

Pope Francis reminds us, “Faith is not a light which scatters all our darkness, but a lamp which guides our steps in the night and suffices for the journey.”

The first reading reminds us that lasting peace and protection come from obeying God. What truly matters is belonging to God and turning to Him in our most difficult and impossible moments. Jeremiah invites us to be sincere in our worship and unwavering in our faith, even when life’s uncertainties hit us like violent waves. Our loyalty to God must be wholehearted, not fragmented, remaining firm in all circumstances.

Life can often be unfair, cruel, and confusing, but in these moments, we must hold onto God’s hand. Listening to and learning from His voice is the only way to navigate the strong currents that threaten to overwhelm us. Are we willing to be corrected by God, even when it is difficult? Lent is a time for God to correct and guide us.

A young woman, burdened by doubt and fear, sought wisdom from a monk. “How do I stay strong in faith amid uncertainty?” she asked. The monk handed her a candle, led her into a dark room, and lit it. “This small flame doesn’t erase the darkness,” he said, “but it guides your next step. Faith works the same way—trust God, even when you can’t see the whole path.”

The responsorial Psalm urges us: “O that today you would listen to His voice! Harden not your hearts.” (Ps. 94:8)

The Gospel calls us to commitment and faithfulness to Jesus at all times. We must listen and obey His voice, growing spiritually without conditions or compromises. Our temporary desires for wealth, fame, or comfort should never contradict our deep faith in Christ. True peace and lasting happiness are found in Jesus alone.

It is our attitude toward God and His law that determines our peace and success. Without God, there is no true success. We must strive to cast out evil from our lives, recognize its influence, and stand firmly with Jesus. “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” (Lk. 11:23)

Let us open our hearts to listen to God’s voice through His eternal Word, Jesus. May we walk in faith, casting out doubt and darkness with the light of Christ. May God bless you and grant you a heart that listens to His voice. Have a blessed day!
