May the Lord grant you grace, peace and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 07th July 2022. We celebrate 19th Sunday of ordinary time. We reflect on Wisdom 18:6-9; Hebrews 11:1-2, 8-19 and Luke 12:32-48.
Life full of faith is worth living.
Hope and love capacitate us to have faith in God. God never goes back on God’s promises. It is by believing in the promises of God, we constantly become hopeful people. The readings of the day bringing us closer to our responsibility in believing the promises of God by living a life in the awareness of God’s presence all through our life.
Whether Abraham became the father of nations, Abel offered a pleasing sacrifice or Noah was saved from the floods, people are healed, risen, and made whole, all because of the faith.
It is our faith that contains, controls, and handles fear. The author of the second reading describes, “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval.” (Heb.11:1). God chooses and blesses those who have unwavering faith in God.
The Gospel strengthens us, “Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Lk.12:32). Faith always frees us from all fear. God is willing to go any extent when we believe. “We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” (Rom.8:28). At the end, “All things can be done for the one who believes.” (Mk.9.23).
We can go on talk about faith but, we all fall short of faith due to lack of love and hope. May the Lord help us to strengthen our faith in God to be blessed all through our life by loving and hoping things. God bless you.
