May the Lord bless you with grace, peace, and blessings in the Holy Spirit.
It is 07th January 2022.
We reflect on 1 John 5:5-13 and Luke 5:12-16.
“Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” (Lk.5:13).
Wishing good for others is the first step towards healing. To heal means to show love without any biases. To heal means to invoke a prayer of blessing on others. Healing belongs to God, yet it is always initiated by us. God sets someone free from all chains, bonds, and clutches through Jesus and all those who live the values of Him.
We all have leprosy to be healed. Leprosy of hatred, indifference, and selfishness.
Every healing requires a human witness to acknowledge what God has done. God does not need a witness to heal someone. God desires to heal for everyone no matter whether we express it explicitly or not. Without an iota of hesitation or a second thought or an obstacle in the mind of God, God initiate healing in us. It is needless to enquire whether God wants us to heal.
The compassion of Jesus is towards us while our bodies are longing for God’s mercy through Jesus.
Healing our wounds and sins are the admittance into the community of God and humanity. Hence, whenever we refuse to reconcile and initiate healing in others, we consciously exclude them from our presence and ordinary human interactions. No healing needs any advertisement. Healing is something personal, intimate and for the love of humanity. By advertising healings, we are not making God more holy. Every healing needs to be celebrated in prayerful presence in silence with God. May God bless each one of us to be the channels of healing.
