Good morning good people may the Lord grant you grace, peace and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 23rd July 2024.
Whom do we call our family?
We reflect on Micah 7:14-15,18-20 and Matthew 12:46-50.
In belonging to the family of Christ, St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta described herself, “By blood, I am Albanian. By citizenship, an Indian. By faith, I am a Catholic nun. As to my calling, I belong to the world. As to my heart, I belong entirely to the Heart of Jesus.”
We have the prayer for forgiveness from the prophet Micah.
It offers us a model of God’s love as forgiving Father.
Loving is the essence and nature of God while mercy is the expression of such great love.
When it comes for forgiveness, God goes beyond human comprehension and measure. God’s love is faithful and unbreakable.
“What God can compare with you; taking fault away, pardoning crime, not cherishing anger for ever but delighting in showing mercy?” (Mic.7:18).
Having experienced the unfathomable love of God, we are to embrace everyone around as our extended family.
The same insight is deepened in the Gospel. Jesus invites us all to be included in His family of missionary disciple.
“Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven, he is my brother and sister and mother.”
The allegiance and
Our family is strengthened and secured when we tend the boundaries and boarders of families around. May we come out of our comfort and secure zone of our biological families and bond with the families around.
May our love not just have limited only to our families alone but to everyone.
May God bless you.
