May the Lord give you peace and grace.

It is 12th November 2021. We celebrate the memorial of St Josaphat, bishop, and martyr.

We reflect on Wisdom 7:22 – 8: 1 and the Gospel of Luke 17:20-25.

Healthy and optimistic perceptions come by noticing and acknowledging the presence of God in our lives and in the events of the world around us.

The effect is seen in the way we idolize and worship the created things, persons, and creation. Some of us go to any extend to prioritize a few celebrities, politicians, religious and community leaders pushing God aside or wilfully forgetting God and God’s hand in those people. “For if they had the power to know so much that they could investigate the world, how did they fail to find sooner the Lord of these things?” (Wis.8:1).

Revisiting, looking back, reviewing, and assessing are important for a perception that is integral and inclusive including God. This must not lead us to judge, condemn and dump people and their precious efforts.

God’s coming to examine our life is recurrent and happens daily. As one author puts it that there is nothing or no one in the world who lives and breathes without being touched by God. Being aware and be prepared at all times allows us to witness the power and presence of God. By constantly losing our pride, power, and ego, we gain the wisdom of the Father. “Those who try to make their life secure will lose it, but those who lose their life will keep it.”

May the Lord bless our efforts in noticing and acknowledging God’s presence to lead a life free of anxiety and fear. May God bless you.
