It is 28th July 2022. We reflect on Jeremiah 18:1-6 and Matthew 13:47-58.
“Behold, like clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.” (Jer.18:6).
God designs us even when we deign to be different. God never discards us but recorders to bend our will to God’s own. God does not deform us but reforms us constantly. God perfects our imperfection with gentle holding until we are fashioned to be the person God wants us. God has no intentions to break us but to have a breakthrough with all we go through with all due respect and holding our dignity as a human person. God values us, treasures us, and handles us meticulously careful in bringing the best in and through us.
We too are like the clay in hands of the potter. Clay cannot propose a shape or control the hands of the potter. It is the crip of the potter and the docility of the clay brings the intention of the potter. “He reworked it into another vessel, as seemed good to him.” (Jer.18:4).
We are born to do good and to be good never at the expense of the other. The Gospel reiterates that God can hold every type of fish in the net of life. God gathers all types of people for the kingdom of God. Whether we are productive or pestilent, good, or bad, beautiful, or ugly, righteous, and irregular, we are all worthy to be in the plan of God for the better making to be the person God wants us to be with all our efforts and
