Good morning, Good People,

May the Lord grant you peace and blessings in the Holy Spirit.

It is the 24th of July, 2025, and today we reflect on Exodus 19:1–2, 9–11, 16–20 and Matthew 13:10–17, as we celebrate the memorial of Saint Charbel Makhlouf, Priest, a man of deep silence, prayer, and divine intimacy.

Do we truly listen to God in prayer?

Pope Francis reminds us:

“God does not reveal Himself with the force of power, imposing His truth; He reveals Himself in our smallness, in our weakness.”

Life is a journey of divine encounters. In the sacred and the simple, in silence and in storms, we arrive at the thresholds of grace. In today’s reading from Exodus, the people of Israel stand at the foot of Mount Sinai, trembling before the thunder and lightning as the Lord descends in fire. It is not just a dramatic scene; it is a divine preparation — God shaping the hearts of His people to receive His Law through reverence and purification.

This awe-filled moment reflects the stirring within our own souls. God desires to meet us and speak to us. But unless we are willing to pause, purify, and prepare, we risk being too distracted or too dull to hear Him. God never forces this sacred encounter. He invites. He waits. He knocks. And only the heart made ready will open wide.

In the Gospel, Jesus explains the mystery of why He speaks in parables — not to confuse but to awaken. The heart that listens, perceives. The eyes that seek, see. Though pride, routine, or indifference may dull our hearing, God’s Word still reaches for us. If we hunger, He will fill.

Let us be among those who, like Saint Charbel, retreat into prayer and let the Lord speak in the silence.

“The silence of God is more powerful than the voices of men.” — St. Charbel Makhlouf

May today be a Mount Sinai moment for you. Wherever you are, whatever you face, may your heart be awakened and prepared to encounter the living God.

Have a peaceful, blessed day. May God bless you and keep you.
