Good morning, good people! May the Lord give you peace, health, and happiness in the Holy Spirit. Today is March 31, 2025. We reflect on Isaiah 65:17-21 and John 4:43-54.

Our Holy Father, Pope Francis, describes, “To believe means to entrust oneself to a merciful love which always accepts and forgives, which sustains and directs our lives.”

Happiness and all kinds of blessings come only through faith in God. We need to believe in ourselves, our potential, and the divine presence within us. As St. Paul reminds us, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13).

Faith in God and in Jesus empowers us to accomplish what we might not otherwise attempt. In the first reading, God expresses His deep longing to create a new heaven and a new earth. This reminds us that renewal is always possible in an atmosphere of faith.

Faith is not merely a stepping stone to success and prosperity; rather, it is the oxygen of our core being. As Scripture affirms, “Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Heb. 11:6).

God alone understands our deepest needs. He neither ignores nor undermines them but rewards and enriches them for our personal and communal good. In the first reading, He promises to lift the burden of suffering from His people: “I will rejoice in Jerusalem and delight in my people; no more shall the sound of weeping be heard in it, or the cry of distress.” (Is. 65:19).

At a time when humanity faces unprecedented challenges, we must listen to our leaders and follow their guidance. This is also a time to express gratitude for those who selflessly serve others, bringing comfort and healing in moments of pain and despair.

A woman facing her child’s grave illness prayed fervently for a miracle. Though doctors had little hope, she clung to faith, like the royal official in John 4 who trusted Jesus’ words: “Go; your son will live.” (John 4:50).

Against all odds, her child recovered. In hindsight, she realized the true miracle was not just the healing, but the peace and trust she found in God’s presence.

The responsorial Psalm proclaims, “I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.” (Ps. 30:1).

Faith assures us that with trust in God and in those working for the common good, we can endure even the most difficult trials. Let us also remember to breathe peace, prayer, and healing into the world, especially for the sick and for those who care for them.

Faith in Jesus never goes unrewarded. No matter what challenges we face, we can overcome them through the strength we receive by placing our trust in Him. Jesus never goes back on His word – His promises bring hope and healing.

As we embrace His divine assurances, we find strength for both personal and communal restoration. May we, too, trust in the healing words of Jesus and continue believing in His promises.

May you have a day of peace and renewal. May God bless you.
