May the Lord give you grace, peace and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 06th April 2022. We reflect on Daniel 3:16-20, 24-25, 28 and John 8:31-42.
Truth burns right within but never burns us down.
Addiction to sin does not occur by one simple lie or an act but it is a habitual act that determines our cycle of behaviour pattern. Sin enters as entertainment but never allows us to attain anything in our life. unregulated actions turn gradually into habits. The habits get rooted, rated, rewarded, and ratified over time in our life.
The experience of being faithful to Truth by three young men brings out some elements that we all need in our faith journey is the unwavering conviction in God over life and death. Witnessing the young ones along with the mysterious and divine fourth one brought the adamant and arrogant king to accept and believe in God. Unless we move away from the altars of idols, we have secretly erected, we cannot believe in the truth and mercy of God. Disciples of truth cannot be the followers of lies and licentiousness.
Accepting Jesus as the Son of God and revering God the Father, we come closer to the truth.
“If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” The Lord expects from us unconditional loyalty without any expectation in following Him. To bear witness to truth we need to be heroic and willing to sacrifice all that we have. Truthful people cannot go on without the power of Christ. “If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” May we truly invest time to confess the areas that need the light of truth in our life during these final weeks of Lent. May God bless you.
