May the Lord bless you with peace and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 02nd October 2021.
We reflect on Exodus 23:20-23 and the Gospel of Matthew 18:1-5, 10.
We celebrate Holy Guardian Angels. Angel means God’s messengers whose work is to protect, to take care and to lead us living a life that pleases God and bringing us closer to God.
Yes, as there are divine angels, so we too have human Guardian angels as our friends. Any one of us in each situation can become the guardian angel to someone in need.
We find more occasions of the encounter with angels in the Scripture. On nearly 290 occasions the word angel appears in the Bible. Very seldom do we remember them in our life when we have challenges and problems, we need to sort them out.
Each one of us has the Guardian Angel who is very personal. We give thanks to God for the special love shown to us through these Guardian angels.
“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. (Ex. 23:20). “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Is.30:21). For God will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” (Ps.91:11,12). “Yet if there is an angel at their side, a messenger, one out of a thousand, sent to tell them how to be upright.” (Job 33:23). “You have made us a little lower than the angels and crowned us with glory and honour.” (Ps.8:5). “My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions.” (Dan. 6:22). “The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.” (Mt. 13:41). “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Mt.24:36). “After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai.” (Acts.7:30). “Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening.” (Acts. 12:9). “Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me.” (Acts.27:23). “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Heb.1:14).
Under their constant care, may the Lord keep us free from dangers in life and bring us to experience joy and eternal life. May the Lord continue to protect us through our personal and intimate Guardian angel all through the day and night. God bless you.
