May the Lord give you grace peace, and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is on 05th December 2022. We reflect on Isaiah 35:1-10 and Luke 5:17-26.
What do we do to bring our friends to Jesus?
We tend to forget our responsibility to bring the one whom we love. Friendships are so crucial for our life. Every friendship offers something to pull through in our life. A friendship that takes us near Jesus is given to those who fear and love God. Who is bringing us back to Jesus when we are not able to on our own?
“Trustworthy friends are life’s medicine, and those who fear the Lord will find them. Those who fear the Lord will direct their friendships well because they will associate with people of like mind.” (Sir. 6:16.17).
“Friend, your sins are forgiven.” How do we feel when we hear the statement from the Lord? Jesus offers such unconditional forgiveness to all of us. Whether we are sick physically or mentally, we all need to hear the statement that we are no longer under the slavery of sins. “So, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (Jn. 8:36)
We all need a helping hand at some point. The integral healing is on display for the man who is paralyzed. When we are sick internally, and externally, who will take us near the Lord?
Advent is a time to bring someone closer to Jesus as we all do. It is indeed the time to notice our spiritual paralysis during this special time of the year. Forgiveness of Christ remains a word unless we bring ourselves closer to the Lord.
When Jesus forgives our sins, we are totally healed. Forgiveness is not only a need, but it is the seed of salvation.
Who are those four friends who will bring us closer to the Lord? May God bless you.
