May the Lord bless you with grace, peace, and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 04th April 2022. We reflect on Daniel 13:1-9, 15-17, 19-30, 33-62; and Jn 8:12-20.
As we enter the Passion Week, the reading focus on giving, forgiving, and believing. It is also a week to confess our sins and stains of the soul.
Unfair judging and treating others are the hell we offer for other in this world. The story of Susanna and the elders are indeed a repeat even today. Just because what we have expected from others not materialized, we scheme evil against the others. The corruption of power, status and age could be an easy means for sexual distractions.
When people accuse us falsely and unfairly, it is good to trust and rely on the Lord. Afterall, the help comes from the Lord always not just at the end but always to the end. The Psalmist boldly confesses, “If I should walk in the valley of darkness, no evil would I fear.” Yes, the Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.”
However dark our life might be, we have the light that never fades even amidst all conditions of life. “I am the light of the world; anyone who follows me will not be walking in the dark, he will have the light of life.”
We all need to give a listening ear to the stories, pain, and affliction of others otherwise we might end up attacking, abusing, and ostracizing truth. Witnesses of truth only enhances the presence of truth and never alters its quality. As Jesus relied on the witnesses of the Father and of Himself, it generates hope and the sure way to the Truth, God. May we truly try our best this week not to condemn others without having the Light of Truth. God bless you.
