May the Lord bless you with peace and health in the Holy Spirit.
It is 26th October 2021.
We reflect on Romans 8:18-25 and the Gospel of Luke 13:18-21.
Hope never derides but builds up trust in our being. Hope never dies where faith resides.
At times we all go through a feeling of losing hope and discouragement due to our personal fallenness and brokenness. Feeling of trust and expectation are like a running stream that never dry in any emotional or non-emotional life situations.
There is something more to our sinfulness is the longing to go beyond that one sin, that one event, that one relationship. That is what St. Paul tries to connect telling, “I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed to us.” (Rom.8:18). It is this hopefulness that makes us to be happy and to have the hindsight of life.
Our inward groanings cannot limit our connection with the cosmic elements that are always ready to supply all that we need to cope and connect with the One supplies and supplements to fulfil the plans of God. even though sin took over humanity by surprise and succumbed to it, there is a day for liberation and transformation.
At a glance it looks as though all creation is infected by the spread of sin, we who believe in Jesus cannot afford to look down the possibilities of bouncing back through grace and mercy offered through Jesus.
A new Heaven, new order, and new earth are possible where hope and healing overtake the race of sin, sickness, and evil. What we experience today is indeed the first instalment of all that we are going to enjoy in fullness near future.
The parables of the Mustard Seed and of the Yeast are instilling hope that every tiny silver line of growth leads to greater glory in the preaching and healing ministry of Jesus. However small it might be, let us begin believing and spreading hope to others.
May God bless you to be hopeful even amidst suffering and pain.
