We reflect on Apocalypse 21:9:14 and John 1:45-51.
Life is full of memories and experiences. Some affect our core being of our life while many of them stay in our lives to motivate us to do things we believe.
Meeting Christ in person was the experience and memory of the apostle Bartholomew. Coming to Jesus and seeing for ourselves is an experience and stays a memory for life. Traditionally identified with Nathanael, presented to us as Philip’s friend (John 1:45-51.). Nathanael means God’s gift. Every vocation has an experience and memory with Jesus.
Belief without the generosity of heart takes us nowhere. Just St. Bartholomew, let’s come closer to Christ even if have difficulties in accepting Him. Sincerity and honesty enable us to come closer to the Lord.
“Nathanael replied, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” encountering the Lord must not just remain a personal experience and memory but it has to be a proclamation of faith. May the Lord help us experience to explain Him to those who do not accept and believe in Him. God bless you.
