Dear People of God

We reflect on 1 Peter 1:10-16 and Mark 10:28-31.
Holiness is not a status but an action.
We all aspire to be someone in life. we wish to reach a level in life before we end our journey here on earth. The readings remind us that we all will be richly reward by the Lord for the sacrifices we make in our life. Our longings need to be streamed in Christ. Priority of our search in life must begin with Christ. God’s holiness is the example to be emulated in our life.
St. Peter in the first reading teaches us that our privilege of being a believer is to respond correspondingly in action. Faith in Jesus requires visible actions.
“But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.” (Mk.10:31). What have we sacrificed for Christ? We too like the apostles could have done some effort.
May the Lord help us to do a sacrifice that does not expect anything in return from the Lord or from anyone. God bless you.
